This is a nice campground with a playground and restrooms. The Point is a beautiful campground on the isthmus that provides some stellar sunrises and sunsets. The fish jump early in the morning within feet of the steep shore. There is plenty of room for several tents and there are several picnic tables.

This is the 1st time that I had ever been there. We moved our church service there, the after preaching we had lunch (had a cook out) then after that we had a baptism. Everybody enjoyed it including the kids. We hope to be able to come back here to have another service and cook out and hopefully more baptisms!! This place is great, really nice, it was nice not going out of town to go yo a nice place like Fort Hamby!!

The staff at the gate are rude and lazy, especially the grumpy old guy. It’s unfortunate that they are hosting this beautiful campground.

Any wooded area there is always a potential for black bears, especially if they smell food. I've never run into any in all my yrs of camping.
Water quality was normal 2 weeks ago. No toxic algae blooms or anything. If you're talking about camping I always use a filter wherever I go outside the camper.

As far as I know, the only place on the lake to rent boats on the lake is Skyline Marina.
$5 per car. It used to be only $2 per person a few years ago.
Fort Hamby and Warrior Creek campgrounds close on October 15. You will have to make a reservation for an early date or make a reservation at another shelter. I work at the lake. 💯 they close October 15th.
