Super 8 by Wyndham Dubuque

We were in Dubuque because of a bike rally. We didn't reserve the room; someone from our group did. I regret not checking things out and reserving our own room! This Super 8 was the typical cheaply made hotel that will probably be demolished in 10 to 20 years. The room had a funky odor. No housekeeping whatsoever! I had to go to the front desk for clean towels and ask a housekeeper I stopped in the hall for more toilet paper. I know no housekeeping is the "thing" with today's hotel, but at the least we should get clean towels and our garbage emptied! The breakfast was a joke!!! Cold cereal and stale mini-muffins, that's it! I couldn't even wash clothes before our trip back because the only guest washer was broken! What really burned me was that the Hotel Juliene in town which was where the bike rally met for check-in was beautiful, had an in-door pool, and a bar only charged $129 a night for a basic room during bike week. This Super 8 charged $171!!!! Rip off! Do not stay here! There are plenty of other choices in Dubuque!

They charged me 250 for smoking in my room I don't smoke complained about my candles and incence burning I am into aroma therapy and yet smelled like cigarettes just out for money

Positive: Location Negative: Hotel was grimy. Room definitely lacked attention to detail regarding cleaning. The carpet in the room had a 2¿ pile of filth that someone obviously missed cleaning for the past 2 years. Walls had small holes in numerous places and were chipped.
