We travel quite a bit as a family and this place is definitely one of the grossest hotels we’ve stayed at in years. Stained carpet, crust in the shower, a faint smokey smell in the room, and late 1980s decor were all immediate turn-offs. Had we not arrived after midnight and desperately tired from driving, I would have demanded a refund and left right away. I didn’t even shower since the entire experience just grossed me out so much. To be honest, based on this experience, I would recommend skipping Dodge city all together and staying at the nearby town of Garden City if possible. It looked like they had much better options.

Positive: Front desk was extremely friendly, both day & night. Easy access to everything. The room was large and had a couch, fridge and microwave. Breakfast was good and had plenty of hot & cold options for everybody. Very nice foyer and breakfast area. Felt safe. Negative: I agree with past comments. Dated and worn for the price. Many years of bad upkeep is showing on the carpet and furniture. Stains on the carpet and furniture. Solid dark bedspreads which scares me as to how clean they are. Over priced for what you get.

They were understanding when I had to push back my check in as someone had broken into my car in another city. When I was able to check in the front staff was great and friendly. The room itself looked like so many people had scraped their bag against the walls and other stains of sorts were on the walls. I ended up taking some of my cleaning wipes to spots to ease my mind a bit. The whole room really needs a paint job or all the walls need to be seriously scrubbed. The tube kinda worked. It started to fill but couldn't hold the water for long. The breakfast was delicious.

Rented a room and once in room we realized it was a bad joice. Stains on floor, stains on chair, extra bedding in closet all wrinkled up. Worst of all a really bad musky smell mixed with a cheap air freshener. Toilet had a dirty ring inside. Went right back to front desk and asked for our money back. Clerk at reception however was not authorized to refund and had to call the manager, the manager did not respond and left us waiting at front desk for over an hour before we got a refund. Do NOT recommend this Motel!
