I shot on their pistol/rifle range on and off for about two years and would have gone more if there wasn't an ammo shortage. The facilities are top-notch, the staff was friendly and professional. Overall, it was a great place to shoot. My biggest gripes are that they don't allow reloaded ammo or steel core ammo on the range. Reloaded ammo is typically safer when done correctly and can be catered to your gun. It's cleaner, more accurate, cheaper to make, and more available if you have the supplies. Anyone who shoots firearms should understand that it is inherently dangerous, which is why we wear PPE and sign waivers, so I think their decision to ban reloaded ammo was foolish (probably after one person had a mishap). Every major manufacturer has had accidents and produced faulty ammo; unfortunately, it happens. Furthermore, It doesn't make sense to ban steel core ammo from the range when a berm is your backstop. Sure, it makes sense for indoor ranges concerned about their backstop or outdoor ranges concerned about steel targets, but I've never been to a place that is concerned about steel core ammo and their berm! I'm sure this decision resulted from someone damaging steel targets, so they implemented a blanket ban. Still, my point is, over the years, it has become a less ideal place to shoot because of rules that prove whoever runs the place, in my opinion, is out of touch with the ammo crisis, the way ammo is manufactured, and may not understand that one of the most popular rifles in America feeds primarily on steel core ammo (AKM patterns). They make decisions based on a few minor mishaps that affect the rest of their customers. Ammo is hard to get right now, so I wish they were more accommodating. If you shoot com bloc weapons or AK rifles that feed mostly steel cased/core ammo, this place is not for you. If you buy the cheapest or only available ammo (steel core) right now because of the shortage, then this place is not for you. If you plan to cater hand loads to your gun, make accurate loads, or prepared for ammo shortages like this and still have the means to train and make ammo...then this place isn't for you either. For everyone else, it's a great place to shoot which is why I will still give it 4 out of 5 stars.

Amazing experience every time at the Liberty Mountain Gun Club. I have shot handgun and shot gun on their ranges and have had a good experience every time! The staff is always very friendly and helpful! Though my favourite range at LMGC is the Olympic and 3D archery ranges. Great place to sight in the bow, practice for the hunt or competition, or just sling some carbon!
