Classic family hotel. Rooms need some updating. Entryways need to be better fitted for accessibility. There is a small step that is a trip hazard, we had first hand experience with.

Rooms were clean and staff was friendly. Really cute motel with a nice pool. The restaurant is closed and it was really hard to find food in the area without driving back to mount horeb. Seems like there's staffing issues everywhere (which is not the fault of the hotel, I'm just mentioning it to help out other travelers)

Positive: The owners have done a nice job of updating. Rooms were clean with modern conveniences and a lot of space. The hotel does not offer breakfast, but does have free coffee. Vending machines and a game room are also available. Negative: A table in the room would have been nice. The hotel is currently short staffed, so has suspended daily housekeeping services. You can ask for clean towels and garbage removal.

Excellent front desk staff! Very clean and comfortable room. Great pool. My only complaint was that our room (#125) I was right by the outdoor patio area where everyone goes to smoke. I didn't care about the smoking (windows were closed) but their conversations going on until 4 a.m. merely 10ft from my window. Made sleeping a little difficult. Those guys were talking full volume. Maybe consider putting the patio tables/smoking area further away from a guest room? Overall stay: 8/10
