Beautiful views. Areas to hike. Pop machine out of order. You might want to bring drinks

We deliver RVs across North America and every time we're in North Dakota we stop we marvel at The view and if it's a nice day we walk the 2.8 Mile trail down into the canyon!! The one thing I would say about the rest area is there really is not enough parking and yet there's just kind of a field right behind it that they could have used but chose not to. If you're driving by stop take it in you won't regret it

definitely recommend doing the nature trail. We did it counterclockwise. It was a more gradual decline and easier on the way up. Beautiful views of the canyon with a spring of colors.

Other than a severely rutted trail with good drops/gains between them where it's steep, this is a nice short barely 0.9 mile trail, especially done in September with Fall colors. 266' gain/descent is manageable.

You might be luckier with finding the ranger guided tours inside Theodore Roosevelt National Park, just down the road. I can't recall seeing anything of the sort at this location. However, my visit here was in the evening. Hopefully someone else can provide you a more definitive answer.
