A public service like this should always, always be on time or early- this is crazy. Sitting here waiting for a train that is 40 minutes late- unacceptable. No wonder folks in Utah drive.

Good, comfortable train, and as long as you know about any schedule changes you'll be good to go and plan ahead (lol we didn't know they'd decided to do a Saturday schedule on Black Friday... Even checked the website... Oh well). Love how in Salt Lake and nearby stops they have attendants there who can answer questions. And the hanging digital signs that show you how many more minutes until the next train comes is super helpful. They don't have indoor waiting areas but the outdoor ones are covered so if it's snowing you'll be mostly safe. We had three toddlers and made sure to bundle them, we had no issues waiting at the stops :). Inside they have some two-story cars that have tables for doing work on your laptop.

The Frontrunner is almost always 3-4 minutes late. Then a few times a week they will miss a train completely. It just won’t show up. The only time I have ever seen them get to a stop even a minute or two ahead of time is when they are actually 28-29 minutes late. I want to give them a one star but the service is convenient when it works right. They just need to be better.

Typically a really great and reliable experience. We have enjoyed riding the train and it’s a fun experience for our family. Today the train I was riding on to Provo ended up being over 10 minutes late arriving. I was going to pick up my son. We missed our return because of the incoming train being late and it ended up costing us an hour of time. Frustrating that the arrival and departure times weren’t reliable, plan accordingly.
