The preoperative coordinator is not too organized. Her office alone is chaotic with books h paper everywhere.Got a call today to get preoperative labs done which they should coordinate with my GP who I just had labs with. Then she says I am to show up day of surgery at 8am for covid test & wait in car till the surgery. I asked when surgery is she says 1:30pm...so she expects me to sit in my car for 4 hrs? I told her I am diabetic ...oh..she didn't know that. Well it's pretty important information to miss. I am so fed up with lack of organization & planning I am going elsewhere. He may be a great doc but when the team is unorganized that's how bad stuff & outcomes happen. I am an RN & fed up with the care here.

I was so disappointed and frustrated by this doctor who had been recommended so highly to me. First of all, he lacked any sympathy for my pain and told me to come back when “the pain got too bad”. I could barely walk at this point. I asked to try a steroid and he neglected to phone it in to my pharmacy. I called in the afternoon and was told they would ask him about it. I called again and the office was closed for a holiday weekend. The entire staff had no concern for me and seemed ready to start their long weekend. I saw another doctor two weeks later who said I would be crippled without surgery and scheduled me immediately. He was shocked that Dr. Avallone paid such little attention to what was indicated on my x-rays. I would never recommend this doctor to anyone I care about.
