They are always very compassionate and sweet. I've had two cats brought here over the past 8 years and the staff is always very nice.

If I could give a zero star rating I would. The lady at the front desk was all-business and extremely cold. The shelter has a policy where kittens must be adopt in pairs. I asked one of the volunteers to show me a kitten that could be adopted independently. She showed me a beautiful orange/white tabby, which I bonded too quickly. I check three times to be sure that this kitten could be adopted solo. She answer yes over and over.I told her I would like to adopt him and that I felt we were a good match for each other. She removed his name and took an adoption photo of us together. I went back to the front desk and waited to fill out the paperwork. After a couple of minutes I was informed that he could not be adopt alone. You don't do that to a future pet owner or kitten. You don't get them excited and feel as though they are going to a forever home together and ripe that away in seconds. Myself and another family left the shelter without kittens because we could not adopt two at one-time. Now two kittens remind in their cages instead of in a warm-loving home. How many other kittens were left in their cages today, this past week, or even the past couple of months because of this policy?

If I could I would give them a BIG FAT ZERO. Don't go here to adopt a kitten. They try to force you into adopting two. They would rather leave the kitten in the shelter cage than allow the kitty to go home to a loving home. NOW THAT'S ANIMAL CRUELTY!

We got our wonderful senior cat from Easel- they are such kind people, and they work so hard for the animals!

Give them a call. They can probably help you out a lot better that way.
Drop off is at 4 Jake Garzio Dr, Ewing, NJ
Their website will tell you no, but my sister has been volunteering with me since she was 16. We work with the dogs and even though they cant let anyone under 18 holding the leash they can still help train/cuddle the dogs if they have an adult with them. Unfortunately letting children/teens who are too young walk them unsupervised could be dangerous for the dogs. I am not sure what their policy is for working with the cats but it may be 18+.
Show up
We are mostly volunteer based. Please stop by the shelter or visit our website to fill out a volunteer application.
Yes , they would rather you did So they can see if they will get along together
Jane please go to Easel dog rescue. They have a wonderful staff and will be able to help you. On the website you can get an application and let them know that you are interested in adopting a dog. They will try to find the best match for your frien We adopted a dog from Easel. Best of luck
Jane, I saw at least 2 labs up for adoption at EASL site.
You should call Easel. If you are in their area, they might be able to set up a trap program.
Call the animal control officer in your township..
I think it's only cats and dogs. Call them to make sure.
Is Jedi a dog?
There is a surrender fee, unfortunately, but they are compassionate about it. Talk to someone there and ask what you can do.
Yes. 18
Hi Annie! We are predominantly supported by volunteers. In order to maintain the shelter, we do have an experienced shelter manager as well cleaning staff. Hope this answers your question. 😉
I had my male cat fixed there in March of 2016. It was a total of $100 for his shots, microchip, flea/ear mite meds and to have him neutered.
Yes you can. This is a good place to get one they have lot's of cat's. And even though kittens are nice a cat that is house trained or familiar with kids is a good pick as well. Good luck
