This place has gone down hill recently. They don't do enough upkeep outside, the cars in the parking lot are constantly getting broken into, and the pool is closed from 10pm-10am. The hot tub used to be open 24 hrs and the pool area was a nice place to chill at night but now the gate locks at 10pm. Also, the floors are uneven and the elevators are constantly breaking down. The apartments are nice but it's not worth the price anymore.

The concept of restoring a historic building into luxury loft apartments may have started out with good intentions but the follow-up/through is lacking and general long-term care not evident. I’ve read some of the pleasant reviews and I cannot relate as our experience at Loray Mills since day one has been flawed. The apartment we rented was supposed to be “sanitized” prior to our move-in date of March 7, 2022 but it was not. It was extremely dusty and the floors were filthy-nasty. The refrigerator was also dirty, the stove top was floppy and broken, the stainless steel farmsink separated from the countertop twice within the first two-weeks (fell-in) and there was pre-existing water damage and wood rot in the cabinetry. The HVAC ventilation and filtration blows dirty, dusty air constantly filled with pet hair, pet dander, dust/dust mites and other pollutants/allergens. The apartment always feels dirty and needs daily dusting. Management’s excuse for not maintaining or preparing the units properly is that they are short staffed (always). We’ve made some temporary repairs to make the apartment somewhat livable, i.e., using purchased plywood to reinforce damaged/rotted cabinetry. We’ve changed the air filter ourselves twice since moving in and are holding onto the dirty filters as documentation. Requests submitted asking that the air-vent “duct” be cleaned have gone ignored (not completed). We’ve purchased allergen products to mitigate the affects that the dirty/dusty/allergens has had on our health. Half of the building remains abandoned and delapidated; the amenities as advertised (wine/coffee bar restaurant) is non-existent. I’m extremely miserable and disappointed with the upkeep, maintenance of this facility, especially for the amount of money that’s paid monthly to live here. Management seems extremely incompetent, inexperienced and trivial; more concerned about cleaning the hot tub, power washing the pool concrete and sending emails about kiddie incentives like counting “jelly beans”, pet contests, food trucks, and “golden Easter-eggs”; or about residents propping doors open, calling that a potential fire hazard. Poor maintenance of a building’s air ducts is not only a health hazard but also a fire hazard!

I can't say enough about my experience moving into Loray Mills. Heather made the transition so easy and was there to answer and help me with all the questions that I had. She provided me with WOW Service and you do not see much of that these days. I can't wait to make great memories at Loray Mills with my friends and family. Heather you are the BEST!
