Came to pick up an instore order. The girl at the register, Cali, was beyond rude and looked annoyed that she had to help us out. She was told by another cashier to go to balloons, a big sigh and eyeroll. When she handed us the bag, with a talking Chucky doll, she looked at it, rolled her eyes again and said "enjoy your doll". We had to return a few minutes later since the doll's battery compartment wasn't locked in properly so we couldn't test it worked. The assistant manager came over to fix it. We informed him of his employee's rude demeanor, but he seemed clueless himself. I understand it's almost closing time and you want to go home but if you have the demeanor of a spoiled teenager and can't even greet people in a friendly manner, don't work with people. In comparison to the other Party City in Watchung, where both cashiers were friendly and helpful, this was a big F. Definitely won't be back here. Edit: reading other reviews, the rudeness of the staff seems to be the common theme here. Not sure why nothing changes with so many people looking for jobs.

Charlotte followed us around the store the entire time. It was the strangest thing. Every aisle we went into she followed, kept coming in & out of the aisle. She asked if I needed help twice i was only in the store 30 minutes max. Not sure if employees are trained to do that or what. We are black, so maybe that had something to do with it. I still purchased $100 worth of items because i was on a time crunch but I will NEVER come to this store again.
