Finally made it from Alston Trailhead to the other end of the trail. The final mile is not well maintained, overgrown and ends abruptly.

It's nice for walking or picnicking. It's nice and quiet, unless a train goes by, and the river is beautiful. There is also primitive camping available. Unfortunately, there are no facilities but it is well kept and clean. A geocache is also on site.

I'd say yes. Really low traffic here. It's super off the road so it's probably only people out hiking.
Its a great walking area but primitive. We didn't see any bathrooms.
