Find another vet. Here's just a few instances of how terrible they are: * Their appointment policy is unclear, and you have to wait outside on the street for someone to come out and yell your name when they can see you. * A woman on the phone recently told me that they're now allowing appointment windows, which translates to "a window of time that you're scheduled to come sit on the street" * In general, you can't come inside with your pet. Recently, they've allowed you to sit in the lobby while your pet is being seen, but they're choosy about who gets let in. There's no clear rules or reasoning. * The app is useless and pretty much only exists to pay for stuff. It's cheap, dated, and not helpful at all. * The front desk staff is INCREDIBLY UNHELPFUL, and offer terrible advice. * Good luck trying to get anything done if you went to another vet for literally any reason at all. I adopted a kitten through a rescue. They pay for the spay surgery but you have to take them to their choice of vet. I had a concern post-opp and reached out to DVA. They basically said "you didn't go to us so we can't help you". Even though they're her primary doctors and I can provide all of the necessary documents for an appointment. * All they ever talk about is money. * There is no sense of genuine care from anyone at this place. They don't treat you like a concerned pet parent, they aren't patient with you. It's an in-and-out business with little to no sympathy. * Finally, have you ever read their reviews? They care so little that each response is almost exactly the same. Copied and pasted. "We couldn't find your patient records but we're very concerned and take these things seriously blah blah blah"

Everyone who works here is in the right business. Millie handles the scheduling, welcoming and billing in a way that puts you at ease when you’re worried about your sick pet. The vet techs are professional and friendly. Dr. Child nails being a vet; compassionate and intelligent with top-notch communication skills. I feel lucky our cat Karen gets to come here.

I have a loving senior dog who acts like a puppy until now. So I contacted Downtown Veterinary Associates hoping they could be my partner in providing his needs as he ages. Millie and her team from the front desk were very accommodating and efficient in getting me an appointment right away. Dr. Drelich spent a lot of time listening to my concerns and questions, went over a plan, and provided guidance and advise. It is comforting to have a team like theirs on my side. Their location in downtown JC is very clean and also convenient.

Hi! It’s best to call and speak to a receptionist as our COVID protocols sometimes have to adjust based on the current environment. As of right now we are allowing one pet parent into the lobby at a time with their pet. If you are a new client please fill out our new client registration on our website!
