We went there on Saturday night for the Covered Bridge concert series. The band tonight was From the Edge, a band from Southwest VA. They play mostly pop rock & country. They were good but had to cut short the music due to power issues. This is not the first time this power problem has occurred. Wish the city would fix it since many folks come for the music. The car show downtown is pretty cool and there are lots of places to dine before the music starts at 7. Looking forward to the group on Aug 27 as they are a Journey tribute band and everyone likes Journey music and sitting by the Doe river is always nice listening to good music. The rest of the groups are on the Elizabethton web site if you want to check it out.

Very cool and long covered bridge to stop and see! Located right next to a little outdoor market and food trucks serving donuts and pizza. The historic covered bridge was also set next to a park and spans Doe Creek, making for a beautiful setting and photo opportunities. Parking is limited close to the bridge, but there weren't many people, so there were several spaces available. It's scenic, historic, and free so worth stopping to see if you're in the area.

We really enjoyed the old bridge. It's the first time I've ever seen a covered bridge. There's a nice little picnic area nearby.
