Wasn’t aware that the rental would be old, raggedy and in need of a break job . He didn’t warn me of the brake problem, knowing we were driving to Florida. Right after I got the van, I had to spend two hours at the auto repair shop and after that the brakes were still spongy. A/C works when it wants to. Interior was disgustingly dirty, seats were dirty , floor was dirty . CD player didn’t work and it never ejected my CD. Sliding doors don’t work properly . Van smelled like cigarette smoke. Van had previously been wrecked because it had several dents. Van had no gas in it . 10 year old van .. never renting from here again. Employees had no sympathy and refused to do anything for the inconvenience

So my car was overheating , and I called Mr.Hoffman to rent a vehicle . He told me to have $138 CASH , my drivers license and insurance with policy #. Hoffman stated he would be there until 4pm and he had a car for me .I told him I’ll be there in the next 30mins and he said ok. Once i got a ride to his establishment, he comes to the door and says he didn’t have anymore cars. I’m like “huh” I just got off the phone with you . He had more cars on the lot that were messed up than anything , and he was more concerned with taking my money than showing compassion and making sure I’ll be ok. Two words “NEVER AGAIN”🤬

I was calling around to find out a car for my family to rent (my family is from lumberton) and he asked me where I was from and I said fayetteville. He became totally rude and said he could not help me and I explained to him and said that I was not the one renting it that I was just calling around and he was not caring at all. He said that someone else couldn't rent it even though it was a family trip. He said that I made up a story and kept cutting me off while I was trying to ask him questions and explain to him that we rented from this place before but he was not listening at all. He kept saying for the seventh time I can not help you and have a good day then he hung up on me. If you want good service go somewhere else because this place is disrespectful!!! I put one star but that's because it made me, I wish I could have just left it as zero stars...
