Ocean One 507 left three impressions on us during our week stay at Hilton Head. #1. The moment you open the door and walk into the living room first thing you notice is the breathtaking ocean views. First 10mins were spent admiring the beautiful view from multiple balconies. #2. When you finally step back into the condo and start looking through the rooms you’re hit with another realization: this condo is pretty run down. I don’t think there’s a square foot on the carpet/walls or furniture that doesn’t have some kind of mark or stain on it. Before the rest of the family showed up I spent sometime rearranging cushions on the living room couch to hide some of the stains, we spent almost $8k on this condo so that was pretty ridiculous. Like other have mentioned I think the whole building needs some love, the elevator was something out of Final Destination and would shake on the way down making loud bangs. Apart from stained furniture, dirty carpet and moldy air vents it was livable. Patio furniture on the balconies did look new which was nice. Upper level was pretty interesting and had a door that let to the roof which had the best view in the building. Box spring was incredibly noisy in that room keeping the couple staying there up most of the night, also major bugs. There’s a tiki bar next door that plays loud live music. We arrived on a Saturday so figured it was a weekend thing…nope it started at 1pm and played until 10pm every day of our stay. If you want peace and serenity this might be an issue. Personally it didn’t bother me but my elderly parents made a few comments about it so just a heads up. #3. After spending a few days in the condo and checking out the area you come to another realization: this might be the best location on the island. Being able to walk down to Coligny beach at any moment to catch a sunrise/sunset or just watch the stars after looking for wildlife in the evening is pretty awesome. We saw sting rays, dolphins, even a shark. At one point we had an umbrella set up on the beach and a spot reserved at the pool so we could just go back and forth as we wish with condo being right there to grab drinks etc. You’re also in the walking distance from multiple restaurants and bars, I think Frosty Frog was my favorite, great food and delicious adult Frosties. Overall we had a good time, would we stay there again? Sure but def not for the price unless place is renovated. It really wouldn’t take much, clean the carpets patch some holes, fresh coat of paint, update some furniture and this place would be great.

Our family has traveled to Hilton Head many times and always love staying at Ocean One! The outside landscaping and the convenience of the property is a wonderful thing! The guards at the gate were so helpful and nice! We felt very safe there! That is the only reason for the 2 stars. Unfortunately, this year our condo was terrible! DO NOT give #211 your money! Sooooo out dated! Dishwasher was rusted inside and out with no rollers on the bottom rack. Freezer ruined $60.00 worth of ice cream for our Grandchildren. Would not freeze the entire week. The shower was stained and continued to drip. The couches were so old and broken down you practically sat on the ground. Bedspreads looked and felt very old and dated. The furniture was from the 1970s. The carpet had lots of stains all over it! Not one bathroom was updated … originals from when it was built. Shower heads were horrible! Vanities were pealing and nasty looking. There were several roaches spotted in the room as well. We spent $4000.00 for a week! That is $16,000.00 a month!!! Come on owner…. Spend some of that money on updating your condo #211!
