The Opera House is a beautiful facility and clearly an amazing venue for many events…… However, I would like to tell you about our experience in dealing with the Executive Director Ms. Cyndi Atkins. We secured the facility for my daughter’s wedding from 1300 miles away in South Carolina (amidst the many issues with Covid that we are all unfortunately faced with today). She assured my wife and daughter time and time again on the front side (pre contract) that there was no risk as they would refund our deposit if we had any issues with Covid. Well, unfortunately Covid cases have increased dramatically to the point where most of the people could not attend. Every single vendor that we had contracted with in the Pella area for the wedding has honored their word and given us our deposit back 100%. Not Ms. Atkins though, she blamed my wife for putting her in an awkward spot and tried to guilt her for backing out due to Covid. I am disgusted at the lack of ethics and integrity for an Executive Level position. Ms. Atkins, you are dealing with a very special part of people's lives (not to mention the impact of Covid) you should be ashamed of the way you are handling yourself. The facility is phenomenal and deserves five stars……. However, if you are dealing with Ms. Atkins I recommend that you get everything that she says in writing.

Watched my daughter take part in Missoula Children's Theaters take on Snow White this evening. Was very entertained! Also amazed by what these people and our young ones can put together in only 5 days!

A beautiful historic Pella landmark that is so professionally managed! It is always wonderful to attend events at the Opera House, I highly recommend it.

It's actually very rare that opera is performed here. Back in the 1900s, when the Pella Opera House was founded, many entertainment venues used the "opera" term to define themselves because to the European immigrants in this area, "opera" was a safe form of entertainment. But even in 1900, many of our shows were plays and musical performances of a varying nature. Today, we often host classic rock, country, jazz, comedians, youth programs and Christian music. Sometimes we host special events like our upcoming Merry & Martinis (for the adults) and Pajamas & Pancakes (for the kids). Check out our website at www.pellaoperahouse.org for events and tickets!
