The Dailey special was chicken pie with pintos slaw and hush puppies. Was very good no complaints. I hadn't been there in years so stopped in was pretty empty. But food was good stop in and give them a try

I love this place! I've been eating here since I was a kid. Everytime I travel to Badin Lake I eat at Troutman's! The food is North Carolina BBQ at its best. Get the slaw (there's BBQ sauce in the slaw)! And ALWAYS get the hush puppies! (If you don't get the hush puppies I think the waitress should have permission to slap you.) Our service was excellent. Our waitress was on the ball. She was courteous and friendly and smiled a lot. Our sweet teas were never below 3/4 full. Our food was at our table in less than 10 minutes. Nothing more you could ask for.
