Our dad was at this facility in 2021 and this was our first experience with a rehab facility. This experience has educated us on how important it is to advocate for the elderly. The Rarely did anyone answer the phone. When we did get someone on the care team, they were polite and helpful. With the administrative team, they were very friendly on the phone but when they tell you to call with any questions, you don't get a call back and if you call in the afternoon close to the end of the day, we were rushed off the phone. While there, our dad was taken to the ER via ambulance, and we only found out about it by looking at his MyChart. No one ever notified us - we had to call to ask why. Our dad caught Covid at this facility - we got a call 3 days later to let us know. When I picked him up, his skin was dry and ashy, and his clothes were on him inside-out. He was having severe uncontrollable tremors where one of his legs and hand shook violently. It took two weeks at home for the tremors to finally stop. I sent a detailed letter to Linley Park outlining the challenges we experienced, and no one ever responded. We were also concerned that if he had to go back there, would he be treated indifferently. He has since had to return to Rehab and Linley Park was on the approved list of facilities. It was a nonnegotiable – he will not go back there when we have other choices. You have to advocate for your loved ones. Google ratings and Medicare ratings can be very different. I recognize that there were particular challenges during Covid especially with staffing, and caring for the elderly is a hard job. When considering a rehab facility, don’t just look at the reviews on Google or the company’s website. Look at the reviews from Medicare.

Called to inquire about a friend and to see if Visits were allowed. Had a problem hearing the receptionist and politely asked if she could speak up a little due to my hearing loss. She immediately hung up on me. Later I want by and received a very cold reception. Hope this is not indicative of other stay behavior.

I was visiting a good family friend of mine and private information was discussed in front of me despite there being HIPPA laws. There is a lack of communication at this facility. Some staff members that are part of the administration do not have the common courtesy to introduce themselves when entering the room and their tone is rude towards both the client and their family members. I completely understand how this facility has a rating of two stars. There is little continuity between the workers due to the fact that many are contract workers.

Check on your love ones. We experienced our loved one not getting their medicine and not being bathed. They don’t respond to emergency properly.

We do not have set visiting hours. Our facility is locked for security reasons in the evening. We ask that all visitors are respectful to our patients.
