This place is biased and refuses to help people of the LGBTQ Community I called for assistance and was told that I would have TO DRESS and ACT as a MALE when I self IDENTIFY as FEMALE because I have FEMALE PARTS this place doesn’t accept people for whom they are but only who they want or expect them to be it’s hard enough being judged and criticized but to get it from people who claiming to be Christian’s doesn’t make it right

They help with food when you don't have any and it's a male shelter and have little mini homes for men to live in.

Men who lose their way can find HOPE at the Light House. All Thanks to people who are willing to help people. Only through our Lord Jesus Christ. A New Being.

We accept clothes at both Mission Mart thrift stores where any guests requiring clothes can get items, where they've already been sorted by size - making it easier for them to find what we need. Our Marts are located at: 953 S. Irby Street (kind of behind Pizza Hut) 2523 W. Palmetto St. (Next to Naturally Outdoors) They can also be dropped off at the main office - 1020 W. Darlington St.
Unfortunately, we only have housing for men and women separately. So, while we could help, it wouldn’t be in the same room.
Sheila, thank you for contacting us! Please call our shelter directly for the answers you need. Our director and case manager can usually be reached from 9-5, Monday - Friday, EST. The number is (843) 731-9315.

No ma’am, not for our guests. However, if you want to donate them to our Mission Mart thrift stores, it is helpful because 100% of profits help those in our shelters! Thank you for your inquiry!

Tina, we're sorry for your circumstances. We would like to assist you at our community shelter at 535 S. Church Street, Florence. The Courtney McGinnis Graham Community Shelter is part of the House of Hope and we serve Men, Women and women with their children. You have to arrive before 7 PM. I'm sorry I was not sent a notification of your question sooner.
Our shelter is shared rooms for the homeless. It does not sound like we are what you are looking for. Thank you for your inquiry though. If you are homeless and in need of our services, please give us a call at 843-667-9000. We want you safe and warm!
We help our residents and guests get in contact with the organizations that do.
