In town for the weekend, stopped in for worship! Great place, clean, nice people, no judgment, relatable. Amazing place! Strongly recommend!

My daughter had a very difficult experience here. Ill-equipped “leaders” of small group trying to “lead” when they do not have background in the teachings…many times things are shared with others on staff and then it becomes an unhealthy environment. The idea that the small group MUST be your community was very odd to me…my daughter has other gospel believing friends at other churches but felt as though her extra time was only to be spent pouring herself into the small group members.

Was excited about this church. The overall experience was good until I got into their small group. One was lead by a pastor who tried to push me off to another group without even talking with me first. Then was told I may have not been saved due to my hardships I was going through. I’m sure their are good people here but I left due to this. I thought the church was for the broken but you have to have it all together to be at this place.

Surprised at the duplicity of character practiced here. Friendly people who welcomed me into the church. Music is good and loud but the sermons are somewhat repetitive and lack consistent rigor, seem to "borrow" heavily from Matt Chandler sermons.

Questions & Answers

Is this church as cult?

I would argue that they have strong cult traits as evidenced by 1. anyone who leaves is accused of being "in sin" and their name is smeared in the community 2. You have to have a very legitimate reason to leave and if you don't they will accuse you of abandonment 3. you know your pastors are abusive when they preach a whole sermon defending why they aren't abusive (sermon on June 20, 2021)
