Amazing! I shop and intern there regularly, and it's an amazing place with great staff! If you have a problem, they can help you, and they have an amazing discord community!

I bought a 320GB raptor drive and a case all for $15 to make a dedicated Minecraft server with parts I had. Very nice staff and even a discord server!

Folks have always been super friendly when I've been donating items. Thanks for helping with electronics recycling in the Twin Cities!

I love Free Geek Twin Cities! The obvious thing to look for here of course is good prices on used hardware. The thing I often find though is they have things I forgot I needed, and can't resist buying when I see them. Very friendly and helpful staff, too. They have a great collection of both current and older parts, at prices that not only are better than other brick and mortar stores but often cheaper than you can even get online. To top it off, the revenue they take in at the store goes to help provide computers and computer learning to those less fortunate. Support a great mission while finding good deals on the things you might have forgotten you needed, what's not to love?

Yes, volunteering is allowed to anybody. Orientation is required, which happens every Saturday at 2pm. After that, volunteers can come in anytime between 12pm-5pm on Saturdays, Sundays, and Wednesdays.
Hey Charlynn -- we're not quite sure what that is, but battery chargers in general are items we'll gladly accept!
Unfortunately not. You can call ahead and see if they'll accept the TV, but they do not give TVs away for free. There is a lower resolution TV there for sale for $5 at the moment, and might be more in the store for a bit more.
Unlikely they would, and I am unaware of a place that would do this. Possibly Micro Center.
I believe that they will take lcd/flat panel monitors in working condition. No CRT tube type monitors though.
Yes, you get $40 credit for each 24h of volunteering. That will buy a basic computer.
See our website for a list of what we charge for and the fee schedule for those items: http://freegeektwincities.org/our-team/donations/
Free Geek only accepts donations, they will not purchase items from the public.
If the phone is functional we do everything we can to securely erase the user data, if it is not function we can put a railroad spike through it.
Yes, they are open to the public, I have bought various items from them many times.
Yes they do, but do charge a fee for printers
