The guys at Dodson and the shop itself are all phenomenal. I'm fairly new to fly fishing and in my early 30's. The staff at Dodson has always been patient, kind, and fun to deal with. I've taken a few classes, and bought a couple rods, reel, and countless accessories and flies from them over the last 18 months. Steve is who I've primarily dealt with, and he's an absolutely awesome guy. I was wanting a reel they didn't have in stock (Ross Reels Evolution R Salt, not surprising they didn't have a ton of salt reels available) but Steve let me know he'd order me one the next weekday he was in the shop. He did, it arrived within a week or so, and was a major help getting my new 8wt setup ready to fish. I've been in a lot of hunting/shooting/fishing shops, and Dodson is easily in my top 3 favorite shops to frequent. You won't be disappointed by your visit here.

I’ve been going to Dodson since near the beginning of this year and am just getting around to a review. This place has become a home away from home for me. The weekly Open Fly Tying night is a lot of fun and I have made some great friends and learned so much from the staff and other Fly addicts. I highly recommend it. Come if you want to have a few laughs, learn a new pattern, and maybe have a beer too. Great shop with a huge selection. If they don’t have it on hand,they can probably get it for you. I just moved into the area and made a random stop at Dodson Fishing Company. I purchased some flies with their recommendation and had time to speak with Steve and company. The store has a large selection of everything fly fishing related. So glad I stopped by - Dodson is my go to store.
