The restaurant and bar were short staffed. My ribs were like they were cooked hours ago and warmed up just for me. The waitress never followed up with us. Finally, she discounted our bill 20%. We never went back just to avoid the same experience. My wife ordered a steak and to give them props when deserved, her steak she said was delicious.

The rolls are to die for, mine came first out of the oven so they were nice and warm. The butter is out of this world savory and sweet at the same time! The French onion soup is amazing as well.

Honestly... service was fantastic, food was fantastic, and wine was great. They had a Valentines Day combo as well to save money with some great items on it. We didn't partake in that but I thought it was cool. Great Valentines Day dinner, will absolutely return.

This Woodfire Bar and Grill is inside the Holiday Inn in Asheville, NC. You don't have to room here to eat at the restaurant but this is a 'top-notch hotel remodeled not too long ago. Believe it was August 2019 when I was here last. Very good experience then, and equally now. The Garlic Shrimp Pasta consisted of jumbo shrimp sauteed in garlic butter sauce with fresh asparagus spears and grape tomatoes over angel hair pasta and topped with Parmesan cheese served with a side salad. Came to a screeching halt when I saw that and placed my order. Excellent entrée! And the House Salad included rocks: seasonal field greens topped with shredded rainbow carrots grape tomatoes and English cucumbers. Excellent chef presentation, and this dish has so many different flavors. So full I had to get my piece of chocolate cake to go and walked it back to my room.
