Scotty Kowski was the sales rep that helped me get my new vehicle. My 2019 lease was coming to a close at the end of October and I wanted to explore options early in September. I told him to show me various quotes, a new VW Tiguan, financing current vehicle, and possibly looking at preowned based on my budget ($400/month). I also wanted $0 at signing. He only pushed for the new vehicle lease option and met my budget. I was very clear about $0 at signing because my birthday was coming up and I didn't want to pay anything up front due to current car payment being due on 10/15. The Jack Daniel's VW website also has programs offering money to recent grads and I didn't qualify because they're using a different bank which apparently has better options for customers. Obviously I am okay with that. What I am not okay with is that the $500 incentive for recent grads was not honored and I am dissatisfied with being charged for new plates and registration. The new car lease offer was pushed (Scotty didn't show me any other quotes because he met my budget with a new car lease) and it didn't meet my expectations as far as what was communicated when we agreed on the deal. The contract specifically states that registration, mvc, and all other fees are N/A and I was never told I had to pay for my plates and registration. The dealer usually handles that for me. When I leased my first vehicle with VW I didn't pay for that, it was included in the price. On top of that I was charged an additional $15 when I picked it up from service. I was left with having to pay my car payment and these fees ($420). I don't appreciate that not being denoted in the contract or it being verbalized to me so that I can make a more informed decision about car choice. It was a sneaky move and I don't want to do business with your company anymore.
