Front desk staff was very nice but picture on website does not look like facility, building is very old. Room looked clean but had a smell like sour milk in certain areas of room. Breakfast was not good, waffle irons but no batter, semi frozen bagels and fried eggs like hockey pucksβif you are going to leave cooked eggs in a serving tray you should scramble them, they will taste so much betterπ Thank goodness it was just an overnight stay.

We booked this hotel on our way to the beach because Wytheville is halfway to our destination. We didn't want to spend a ton of money because we were only going to be there for a few hours to sleep. The room wasn't the worst I've stayed in, but it could definitely have been cleaner. The room was also extremely hot and we were unsuccessful in getting it to cool down. The check-in attendant was super nice and the process was quick and efficient. The breakfast was decent, but there is not a lot of space to sit, especially when it gets busy. Overall, not terrible, but you get what you pay for.

This Comfort Inn was a very well maintained, older hotel. The grounds and parking lot were free of trash. There was a very small pet area at the end of the parking lot on a hill. The pet area is slightly sloped so it's not a problem. They do provide a pet station with waste bags. The entire hotel (that we could see) was very clean and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast looked very good with a variety of hot and cold items, and the staff was keeping up with any messes that occurred. We didn't partake but I checked it out when I got coffee. There is always hot coffee, tea, and water available in the lobby along with a basket of fresh fruit. The downside was that even with our "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door knob, housekeeping walked into our room unannounced THREE TIMES in two days. Both mornings around 10 a.m., and the first afternoon at precisely 4:43 in the afternoon. Check out is 11 a.m., so I'm not really sure why they'd enter unannounced with the sign on the door.

The hotel is expensive compared to the quality of the room. The sink countertop was separating from the tub, the toilet had been broken and then glued back together, the hall light flickered, and it appeared to be a dummy AC (I lowered it from 75 to 70 and noticed no difference in temp, but it did blow cool air every now and then). It is pet friendly, but they charge you 20 per pet. For that extra fee I expected a nice clean room. There was hair in the tub, but it didn't have a smell or feel icky. If I were passing through again I would see if there was something better first, but would stay here if I couldn't find anything else reasonable.

Maybe across the road? I would call the hotel directly to see.
This motel I'd at exit 80. It's rite behind a circle K gas station.
