My mother visited st.vincents primary care and expressed concerns about her enlarged neck. LAVIDA JUDITH THOMAS-RICHARDSON, M.D. told her it's just FAT ! She did not exam her nor did she send her to a specialist or have testing done. She just rushed her and ended the appointment. LAVIDA DID NOT CARE! My mom got a second opinion and found out her thyroid is enlarged. It's very sad to know that there are doctors like LAVIDA. If you don't care about patients, please stop practicing medicine!

All of the doctors from the Oakleaf location are quitting… that’s right…. Just walking out. First, the best primary care doctor I’ve ever had, Lavida Thomas-Richardson, up and disappears without warning so appointments become scarce. Then while temporarily using a Physician’s Assistant (PA), 2 more doctors quit so now the PA is scheduling appointment way out because there’s NO ONE else to see me!!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!!! The environment for doctors must be toxic here even though I believed I’d finally found a primary care home. I guess it was too good to be true so now I’m out hunting again.

Excellent doctor. I am a person who happens to be her patient. She explores every avenue to determine my and my husband’s best plan for health, does follow-ups and makes appropriate referrals. Highly recommend her.

By staying home when you or a loved one is ill and washing your hands regularly, you can help keep yourself and your children healthy.
If you think your child has RSV or bronchiolitis, it is important to keep your child hydrated and monitor for fever or shortness of breath. Contact your child’s doctor, who can test for RSV and provide recommendations to keep your child safe at home. If your child’s health situation is serious or life-threatening, go to the nearest ER or call 911.
Respiratory Syncytial Virus, or RSV, may appear like a bad cold to adults. For infants or young children, RSV can cause bronchiolitis -- a virus which causes swelling and an increase in mucus in the airway. This can cause difficulty breathing through their nose and eventually dehydration due to difficulty latching to the breast or bottle for infants. Other symptoms of RSV may include a fever or a very wet sounding cough, which can turn into coughing fits. Those coughing fits can cause a child to gag and potentially vomit.
