I have been a patient of Dr. Carvell for over ten years. My entire family has been as well. I have seen Dr. Carvell yearly since I was a child. While, Dr. Carvell is truly a fantastic practitioner, certain members of her staff are not are not so great. Unfortunately, I do not know this lady’s name but when I see her or speak to her on the phone (I always know it is her on the phone) she is unspeakably rude and just generally unkind. I am always made to feel as if I am annoying her or as is doing her job and providing me with services I pay for, that I am inconveniencing her. I spoke with her on the phone today and again was met with disdain. I am always kind and polite and that is least I ask for in return. Unfortunately, when I spoke to my family about their experience with this particular staff member they echoed my feelings. This is such shame to have what is otherwise a fantastic office be ruined by such nastiness. I will no longer be a patient here and I hope that Dr. Carvell will be able to read this message and understand what some of her patients may feeling about their experience in her office. Thank you for years of amazing services, Dr. Carvell.

They took my 78 year old mother in and told her that her current prescription is fine. Her current prescription does not allow her to see. Went to a different doctor and they stated that it is her glasses.

I have known Dr Carvell for 20 years. After getting divorce my insurance change so I couldn't go back with her. Never found a Doctor that cares like she does. She takes the time to listen. She cares for you as a person and as a patient. I was able to come back. I had to wait to get an appointment, but it is totally worth it.

I can't speak to the actual care but, from the reviews, one might expect excellent care if one can actually get an appointment. I called before all the COVID closings happened and the appointment was for a month out. Then, COVID... so appointment was cancelled. Called again today and the wait, once again, is over a month out. That's just too long to wait for a vision appointment, so I'm looking around for another alternative.
