Milton Lake does require a fishing license. There are a couple of free fishing days in June, but I think you passed them. Fishing licenses can be obtained at practically every Walmart and reputable bait shops. The simplest method is to purchase online via NJ Fish and Wildlife website. $22.50 for 16-64 yrs old and $12.50 for anyone above 65 yrs. Purchasing online allows you to fish same-day. Save the PDF on your phone or store a photo of it.
