Overlook at Flanders

I have never witnessed such horrible hospitality and resident care. I like overlook over all. They have a very rude women that works at the front desk that they always have me deal with, it is to the point she makes me want to cancel my lease and leave faster. She has absolutely no communication skills. I have read other reviews about her stuff before as well. How can a person have multiple bad reviews and you still have them work for your establishment? I am ready to go to management with how rude this women is CONSTANTLY. They need new training at front how to deal with residents. This is coming from someone who has been an administrative assistant for 6+years.

Two stars because I did enjoy living there. My issues stem from after move out. While we were moving out they were changing the resident portal so we were not able to pay our last month of rent. We waited a month and still didn’t hear anything about rent or our safety deposit/post move out inspection. My fiancé called numerous times and sent several emails with no answers. Today he spoke to Liz who explained our post move out inspection. She also explained that our safety deposit was used to cover the rent and we were sent a bill for the remaining balance in the mail, which we never received. We asked why we never received any emails about an update on the resident portal and she just argued that we could’ve brought a check to the office instead. We had absolutely no idea how much our rent was that month and no one was answering our calls so we didn’t know how much to put on the check. Also, we didn’t realize the portal wouldn’t have been an option for us anymore. Considering we got several email updates about them working on it we expected to get one when it was up and running too. We were completely in the dark with all of this and Liz just argued with my fiancé and pushed off Overlooks responsibility and tried to blame us for everything. Update: changed my rating because my fiancé went to the office to hand in a check with our remaining balance. He spoke with Lasheye who was extremely pleasant and professional. She listened to my fiancés concerns and helped find a solution. Thanks so much Lasheye!!

Decent STARTER place. Rooms are spacious with ample closet space. While you are able to rent a newly finished apartment, everything is renovated with inexpensive finishes. The windows and doors are super drafty in the winter so prepare for your heating bill to skyrocket in the winter. During a winter snow storm, snow flakes were actually flying in through the cracks in my window. They can also do a better job with the garbage collection so as to not have everyone's garbage sitting in front of their doors for hours.

This complex is so ghetto. Their mini market employees are so creepy, they always have random people hangout out and million DOGS inside the market. Garbage everywhere around the complex, they only care about the front looks of their property. We have really loud neighbors and they’re kids bang 24-7. Management does absolutely nothing to help consider we’re paying so much money a month to live here. I cannot wait to get out of here. 100000% NOT WORTH spending the amount they charge nowadays.
