Absolutely poor wait times. Been waiting for 2+ hours now

Very happy in particular with the help of Dr. Betz. Finally on the road to recovery with the correct diagnosis and treatment. Front desk staff is also terrific. Please be patient with the wait time; there are many more sick people than medical professionals available to treat them. Thank you. Five stars +.

Negative stars. Any time of ever came to this place they tell me it will be an hour and to come back. When I come back it is now up to 4 hours. "It will be about a 4 hour wait (its 4 oclock right now and I originally came at 3) and we close at 8. Okay cool! so now what? Thanks for nothing and wasting my time.

5 hour wait in the main waiting room, just to sit in the smaller exam room for an hour just for the doc to finally waltz in. Came here for a simple Driver's license physical exam... Arrived with 4 ppl ahead of me, you would think that 6 hours would be more then ample to have a 10 minute exam done... Seems the staff here has no comprehension of time management. 6 hour wait for 10 minute exam. Absurd, ridiculous and absolutely a waste of time. These are the words I'm allowed to use in public, the word I want to use will get me arrested... Happly yours, The Decrepid skeleton in the corner

Questions & Answers

How long does it take to get back a covid test result

Onika Taylor | Oct 14, 2021
MedExpress Urgent Care | Oct 14, 2021

Good question! Timing may vary depending on the volume of tests being performed by our commercial lab partner, but it is currently taking around 2-3 days for patients to receive send-out PCR laboratory results. If you were tested at MedExpress and are awaiting your results, a member of our team will call you once we receive the results. You can also obtain a copy of your COVID-19 test results through the online patient portal of our commercial lab partner, LabCorp, once they are available. Please visit their website at www.labcorp.com to create an account to access your test results.

Do I need an appointment or can I just walk in to get a covid test?

MedExpress Urgent Care | Oct 14, 2021

Thank you for reaching out! MedExpress is not scheduling appointments, however, we’d like to share a transparent update on our wait times and visit capacity. Please know that we consider it a privilege to serve you and your health remains our top priority. Due to the demand for COVID-19 evaluations and testing, many centers are currently experiencing average wait times of 1-4 hours and a high amount of phone calls. At some locations, we may exceed our daily visit capacity, resulting in the need to discontinue registration of patients earlier than normal. Should this occur, please be assured that your care is important to us, and we will do our best to see everyone currently in line. We appreciate your patience and understanding as our teams work tirelessly to care for our communities. For additional information, please visit our website. https://www.medexpress.com/covid19.html

is the covid test free?

MedExpress Urgent Care | Oct 14, 2021

When you visit MedExpress for a COVID-19 evaluation and testing, we will collect your co-pay and bill your insurance for the medical evaluation and treatment received from our medical professionals. If a COVID-19 test is ordered on your behalf, it will be an additional cost determined by your insurance company. Many health insurance companies across the country have stated that they will cover the full cost of any testing for COVID-19. However, if you have questions or concerns about your specific insurance plan, it is always a good idea to check with your insurance company to learn more. For those without insurance, self-pay services for a COVID-19 medical evaluation and treatment received from our MedExpress providers start at $119-$139 based on the state you are located in. This price does not include any fees incurred by our lab partner, LabCorp, for the actual COVID-19 test. For additional information, please visit our website. https://www.medexpress.com/covid19.html

MedExpress Urgent Care | Oct 14, 2021

MedExpress is offering COVID-19 evaluations and testing at designated centers to help support our local communities' health care needs amid the pandemic. In order to ensure individuals receive the highest-quality care and treatment, all individuals seeking care at MedExpress for known or suspected COVID-19 cases will receive an examination by a MedExpress health care professional who will determine if testing is needed and which testing method may be most appropriate, including rapid antigen and laboratory send-out PCR COVID-19 testing. Please note that for the most accurate COVID-19 test results, the CDC and the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) recommend that individuals who are not showing symptoms, but who have had close contact with an individual who has tested positively for COVID-19, wait five to seven days after the known exposure to get a COVID-19 test. Additionally, the CDC and AAFP recommend self-quarantining for 14 days after a known exposure to COVID-19, even if no symptoms are present.
