Dr. Hammond is a great vet. He genuinely cares for your animals and does his absolute best for their care. Compassion that is very rare in this day and age. Had to bring our K9s in for vaccinations and as always Dr. Hammond and his staff took excellent care of them. Thank you Dr. Hammond and staff for your wonderful care.

My horse got choked and I called because I know Dr. Hammond does house calls and she's 24 and trailering is a big stress for her, got told by the receptionist that he would call back after the last 2 patients.This was at 10:00am, cue 4 hours later and now he says that he can't see her today and to just wait. My horse is CHOKED this is not an annuals visit this is an emergency and can kill a horse, if he couldn't see her why didn't he have to courtesy to tell me so I could take her somewhere else and not waste my time? Now no other vets can fit her into their schedule and we have to wait until tomorrow morning and hope it passes with massaging and pray it doesn't kill her. I DO NOT recommend using them for large animal and caution you to go to lawrenceburg and find someone who won't waste your time and risk your animals health.

On Saturdays
I have heard that a vinegar / peroxide bath should help. Mix it in shampoo. But I would check with a vet as well.
I do mot have an exact answer for you. I do both sympathy and appreciate your situation. I will tell you that Dr. Hammond is very fair in his pricing and will discuss the options before going forward. Prayers going up for your new little friend & you.
Dr. Hammond is an amazing vet! He truly cares for the furbabies he sees, it shows in everything he does! His compassion, heart and sincerity shows in his work, it isnt about money with him, its the lives of the babies that comes through the doors or gates of his clinic! His office staff is just as wonderful!!! He also has VERY reasonable rates too. I pray your furbaby gets to feeling better soon!
