We have only had excellent experiences with Conover Veterinary Hospital and seriously cannot praise them enough!! They are very reputable and provide amazing pet care services! We have researched and contacted every veterinarian clinic in and around Hickory specifically for exotic pet vets, and Conover Veterinary Hospital has the best customer service and the most reasonable prices hands down. We, unfortunately, have had many, time-sensitive emergencies with our guinea pigs and every time we call worried it will be very difficult to get a last-minute appointment, they go out of their way to work us in promptly. It is always an extremely easy, pleasant, and straight forward process there. Everyone who works at Conover Veterinary Hospital goes above and beyond for your pets and is SO helpful, friendly, and understanding. We really appreciate them being flexible and accommodating every time, especially assisting with the urgent care needed for our beloved guinea pigs' well-being! A BIG shout out to Dr. Tina Whitted! She does an absolutely AMAZING job as an experienced exotic pet veterinarian and is very kind, patient, and truly cares about your pets' health and comfort. A BIG shout out to all the staff there, especially Angie, who is such a sweetheart and has done an EXCELLENT job with scheduling our guinea pigs' appointments! We really appreciate everything you all do at Conover Veterinary Hospital and the incredible kindness and patience shown without any hesitation there towards clients and their pets. We highly recommend Conover Veterinary Hospital and cannot express how grateful we are for keeping our guinea pigs healthy & happy. They can usually work you in if an emergency.
Sometimes, depending on why your pet is itching and what medication your pet was given, it may not be a one time medicine. Often times pets get allergies just like their owners, and may have to be on seasonal, or yearly, allergy medicines. You can call the office and we can see if we can help you more, (828) 465-5720.
