Officers need to be trained to recognize and respond properly to domestic abuse crises. Pathetic that the victim calling in for help is the one who gets arrested, not the abuser. Congratulations.

We've got a pretty top notch group of law enforcement officers in Shelbyville! I attended my daughters Girl Scout meeting and they were super kind to them.

They were very gentle when they handcuffed me, and their patrol vehicles are incredibly roomy. Overall, very professional. Will get arrested by them again, forsure.

Questions & Answers

If say I get pulled over and have Suboxone on me but the police department takes it but I have a prescription for it. What do I do about it who do I talk to about it.

A. I would call the department and ask them. B.You are not supposed to store the medicine outside of it prescription bottle. Doing so can land you in hot water. C. If you have a current prescription then showing it to them may get your medication back. C. However if 1 or 2 pills were confiscated because you didn't want to take the whole container for fear of theft or misplacement, and you are in no further trouble, maybe take it as a learning experience and keep the prescription bottle with you in the future.

Does the Police Dept do courtesy patrols for citizens going out of town for the holidays? And if so, who do I contact?

Seeing as this question asks the general public you basically just told the general public that you will out of town soon. I would suggest you ask you call in and ask.
