Last that I knew you would need to go to 1 Washington Street in Hempstead,to the Town of Hempstead's Clerk's office,their phone number is 516-489-5000,call them to check if your getting married in Nassau County,that this is still the correct place to go.
Don't know who you were going to work for John but that would be illegal just on minimum wage standards. Gotta try to get the info.
