There's a zillion gates to this place. The gate guards are cool. The PTI peeps, not so much. The place don't have the areas marked, but they will tell you that your load is at A2. And if I didn't check on my load (which was not ready on time), who knows how long they would have let me just sit there! Not well organized at all.

delivery-adhesives 8 totes check in 9am, check out 12:30pm, driver was waiting dock for no reason-people in receiving department doesn't care about you, dock girl where driver was finally unloaded told that our load supposed to go to receiving dock immediately, after 3hours of waiting dock and phone calls unloading took 30 min

Working here has been an absolute joy. I work for a third-party contractor (SDI), not GP itself, but the GP employees are all great people. They're helpful, friendly, and always appreciate a good joke, or smarta** comment. Yes, GP policies make the company a stickler for safety, and sometimes the rules and regulations seem a little overboard. In this industry, health and safety should be #1 in terms of importance. GP enforces that standpoint, ensuring all employees go home safely to their families. While I don't believe I'll ever acclimate to how horribly it smells at times, the people and work environment make every moment worth tolerating the stench.
