One of my worst experiences with the front desk of this office. The lady doesn't want to listen NJ or do they want to assist veterans. Terrible experience. The VA needs to take a closer look at this practice.

Dr Canedo advised me to have an MRA, head exam done but no one from his office called me back with the results. A month later I called & asked could Dr Canedo call me with the results & the receptionist stated that there was no need for him to call me because there were no notes telling him to do so. I then stated to the receptionist that if Dr Canedo doesn’t want to call I could schedule an appointment to get the results. The receptionist put me on hold, came back to the phone & reiterated that there was no need for Dr Canedo to speak with me. As a veteran with disabilities I couldn’t believe that Dr Canedo’s office refused to explain to me the results of a test, good or bad. I had to call the Department of Veterans Affairs who paid for the test & explain to them that Dr Canedo’s office was refusing to go over my medical results with me. The veteran representative advised me that Dr Canedo’s office should’ve forwarded the test results to them but he didn’t. The veteran representative then advised me that she didn’t understand why the Dr’s office refused to assist me but that she would ensure the Veterans Affairs Dept obtain those records for me & provide me with the test results. I then thanked her & told her that I no longer wanted to use Dr Canedo as my neurologist. Never in my life & I am 51 yrs old, have I had a doctor let alone a neurologist refuse to provide me with the results of a test that he recommended. Baffling!

My son and I had appointments today at 3:00-3:30 we checked in and sat there over an hour before a white couple came in the man stated he had an 4:00 appointment. The Hispanic guy at the reception desk then brought out 3 clipboards to get our information we had already been there over an hour. He was not friendly to us but seem to only tolerate us. After everyone completed the paper work including the white man. We waited another 30 minutes before the receptionist called the white man to the back. My son and I explained to the employee we were supposed to be called first because we had 3:00-3:30 appointments. He couldn’t give us a good explanation as to why the white guy was put ahead of us. We walked out. I will never go back there this was blatant racism.

Probably great for migraines but anything else he doesn't seem to want to bother with it. Still hand writes prescriptions which is about the norm because they dont know anything about approval systems for medications. You have to find out that all on your own, went in for a issue 3 visits later still no diagnosis, won't write the meds and messed up the test. Switching neurologist.
