This is the second time we have visited this amazing place. We have younger children and they enjoy it also. We especially like the cellar experience. So moving and educational. The movie is excellent also. Please stop by. It’s worth it.

Can we bring a small cooler along

Baxel garrellia | Oct 13, 2020
Gettysburg Heritage Center | Oct 13, 2020

Thank you for submitting your question about coolers! We ask our visitors to refrain for eating or drinking in our museum and gift shop. We do not have any tables or seating that allow for eating or drinking within our complex. We do have a large front porch, and lawn that you may use if you're looking for a place to eat and drink. We are happy to work with in the event you need your cooler for medical purposes. We encourage anyone with specific questions, or have special circumstances to reach out to us privately via phone or email. Thank you!

was this the old wax museum?

Gail Sapp | Oct 13, 2020
Gettysburg Heritage Center | Oct 13, 2020

Yes, this was the home of the American Civil War Wax Museum. It underwent changes in 2013, and has an updated museum and gift store. Visitors learn about the Battle of Gettysburg from the perspective of the citizens, and also of the soldiers. A great orientation and starting place when travelling to Gettysburg!

I'm a local artist with many oil paintings of the battlefield. I started painting after I retired and it got a little out of control. Do you sell paintings? My kids won't let me throw them away anymore.

Betty Hardman | Oct 14, 2019

I live in Maryland now. I'm no longer in Gettysburg. No I don't sell paintings.
