Yes tailgating is allowed in the lot

There is plenty of free parking provided by the venue. There are dirt lots off New Road (between Restaurant Depot and Midas). There is a paved lot off Pequot Street (between Citgo and Candlewood Suites, the lot is behind Citgo). And there is also a dirt lot off Pequot Street, behind Goodyear. These lots can fill up, and when they do, police put up barriers so no more vehicles may enter. If all of these lots fill I believe free parking is available at the Morgan Street Garage. On rare occasion, the lots off Pequot Street may be unavailable due to another event in town. Currently, Cirque du Soleil is occupying both of these lots, so there is only the dirt lot off New Road and then the garage. Nearby private lots often offer parking for a fee, e.g. $30. They have an attendant who waves a flag commandingly at passing drivers. Ignore them and park in the free lots. Metered on-street spaces are free after 6:00pm and on weekends and holidays.
