I had the absolute worst experience ever in this establishment. I wish I could give this shopping experience negative 5 stars. Never in my life have I encountered such lack of customer service as I did upon entering this Rainbow today. 09/02/2022. This was unacceptable for such a well known store. I went to return a defective pair of sandals that broke immediately after walking in them for a few minutes. I purchased them in a different location (Brooklyn) and decided to do a return at this store instead on my way to work. I was met with a refusal to assist me and a woman who I’m assuming is the manager let me know she “couldn’t take them back because they’re not in her store”. After explaining my situation she then reluctantly, with an attitude said she would only exchange them. I instead decided to double check their policy and I asked for their corporate number. She actually gave me a fake number! I finally found the correct number and confirmed I could get my money back for a faulty item which would fall under the provision of “manufacturing defect”. I ended up deciding to accept her “favor” which was not really a favor a few days later to avoid further conflict. I approach her and kindly ask if she will complete the exchange she agreed to for the faulty product. She then proceeds to say she “never said that” and that she couldn’t complete the transaction which was a bold faced lie! I then asked why she gave me a fake corporate number and she said I must have written the incorrect number. Then, she said “I don’t know why you didn’t just go to the original store I can’t accept this. You wore these shoes all day which is why they broke.” I politely corrected her and let her know I only wore them for a few minutes and they broke instantly. She then finally (with extreme dismay) completed the exchange. I then simply stated “I appreciate your service, however your in store return policy is a bit confusing and doesn’t align with the information on my receipt and on the website.” She then says “Please zip your mouth..I’m doing you a favor!” Unbelievable. So offensive and disrespectful. Rainbow, as a long time customer I am in utter disbelief at the lack of customer service I experienced today. Completely inappropriate behavior for a manager of your establishment to exhibit. Is this the kind of individual you allow to represent your brand? Please re train your staff on proper etiquette when dealing with clients. They are interfering with the productivity of your company as they create an unpleasant shopping experience, discouraging customers from returning. I will be following up with this report.

The staff is very rude' Today my wife went to buy many clothes, and she went to return 4 because they were damaged and they treated her very badly, they yelled at her and told her I don't know. It could, they don't have a place to measure your clothes and if you want to return them they get angry and treat you badly.

Do not waste your time going here. They are discriminatory to the bigger sized women as they do not carry plus sizes anymore.
