My favorite airport my favorite place to hang out. The flying is awesome the driving is awesome the food is good, the water is running through it. The service here is top notch the fellowship and freedom is refreshing. Dave the airport manager keeps the place looking pristine you can see his passion for aviation and people in every detail at the airport. You won’t find a more welcoming atmosphere, if your learning to fly this is a great spot to do that if you’re looking for a great fuel stop for your jet or cross country this is a spot worth your visit. You’ll feel peace as soon as you enter the airspace. That says something.

6A4 is a great little country airport. Very convenient to Boone but much safer than NC14. No transient night ops due to terrain. Right pattern on 6.

Just stopped by for the powered para glide fly in. WOW! Dozens of flyers in the sky at sun set. A site to behold. It has been going on all week. Thank you Johnson County Airport.
