I was here May 7, 2021-June 12, 2021. Great, caring staff who went above and beyond for the clients. They encouraged clients to participate in group etc but did not force anything on anyone. The staff was truly amazing and wanted to see clients do better for themselves. I was kept busy and felt that my voice was heard and my needs were met. My counselor was Seva and she was THE BEST! She had my discharge plans ready by the second day I was in the inpatient program (after detox). She listened to my needs and made sure they were all taken care of. This place saved my life and I would definitely send someone I love here! Forever grateful.

I have been there more than a few times. WAYYYYYYY better than jail. Wayyyyyy better After detox was getting my head clear and worked on myself. Yes it's a state program. I've been in private programs that cost $$$. The staff at CVH over all Great. get your recovery started there.

No wait time
45 days
Yes
Can I just walk in to the cvh hospital for care
The main line is 860-262-5000. They have a decent internal listing of employees and departments.
I worked there in the late 60's as a psychiatric aid trainee. I saw the hospital gown on one man was see through it was so old. THEY NEED CLOTHING DONATIONS!!! To be committed by a judge is just about for life. We were trained at Batell Hall with 1 locked and 3 open wards. Males and females are separate. The beds were in 2 rooms in rows no walls to keep the patients or staff safe. Walks were allowed one aid to one patient as long as the patient wasn't a hot tempered flight risk we would do it. I remember the buildings Merritt Hall and Batell Hall and the Administration building photographed. There was also a small real medical building.
Yes, CVH has an Addiction Services Division consisting of a Detox unit and 3 Inpatient Rehab units.
It’s very rare
Never abandoned and still open.
That would be a question to ask admission n availability.also depending on what are the needs 3-45 is probably standard, not written in stone so best ask admission, best of hope
No CD players, 30 dollars, no belts or shoelaces
No
For what drug detox, or treatment? Which one?
Ten changes of clothes, no belts or clothes with strings and shoes without laces. 30 dollars spending money. Possibly a notebook without metal binding or books.
There's a detox. Different lengths stay under 10 days. Also, a very nice 45 day program.
CT requires a period of 7 to 12 years. Check with your program.
Need to talk to a patient
Not for patients
