The physical therapy department shares the belief that the symptoms caused by injuries are actually emotion based. Which is odd because they don’t provide counseling for these supposed emotions that are causing pain, numbness, limited mobility, and other symptoms of the initial injury. However, they do provide demonstrations of simple exercises and quite the assortment of balls and foam. You’d save your money and learn more searching on YouTube and buying a ball at Walmart. I’d say this place is a joke, but it’s sad to think of all the patients under their care, especially their autism department.

My father had a prolonged hospitalization here. The reason for his lack of progress was never identified or addressed. He developed severe contractures of both Achilles tendons that could have been prevented with placement of splints. Because of these contractures he permanently lost the ability to walk; this eventually led to his demise.

Ignore patient concerns, dismiss symptoms until a patient becomes dangerously ill. Do not care about patient psychological health either.

I was recommended Dr. Stanwood by my Psychiatrist for my ADHD evaluation. He was very thorough, attentive, and accommodating! The front desk team was polite & courteous, as was everyone else! My complaint here was when my follow-up appointment was done, and the results were given to me, they written many things on my paperwork incorrectly even after we've repeatedly gone over the finer details ahead of time. A lot of time was wasted correcting the paperwork, and I wish that was taken care of from the get-go. Overall, Dr. Stanwood was amazing to work with, the hospital itself is aesthetically pleasing and very clean, and all of the other staff I've interacted with were courteous and informative.
