Bear Cave Trail is an amazing MAZE of beautiful narrow canyons and crevices carved into towering stone walls. Finding a way up the walls will bring views of the nearby valley gorge that are incredible. Just a very pretty area. Really incredible short hike through incredible rock formations. The natural beauty is fabulous. This trail has lots of up and down steps so it might be challenging for anyone with mobility issues. One of my favorite spots is the Eye of the Needle, a really narrow passageway through gigantic sheer walls of rock. It reminded me of pictures I've seen from places like Zion National Park and other places out west. You can walk through and stand right in the middle of that passageway and look up to see a sliver of sky above. It's just incredible and pictures don't do it justice.

Such beautiful trail, definitely coming back! All our family loved it and the views are amazing when you climb the bick rocks! Its not too long so you are able to see everything pretty quick but is nice anyways, pictures will be amazing if you like to keep a lot of memories.

bear cave trail is an outstanding trail. a very easy 1.1 mile trail out & back trail at a 125 feet elevation gain. making this a perfect trail for all ages and great for kids. this little gem offers some of the pretties gigantic sandstone boulders that you will walk through. as you walk these huge stone monoliths you will go through some narrow passage ways and you can also walk to the bluff for great scenic views of the surrounding valley. I did this trail on a beautiful January morning. Don't forget to look down. that morning I was blessed to see a rare sighting. A frost flower. for such a short trail there are so many rewards that will keep you going WOW!
