Beautiful and peaceful. I was told when I arrived at the park that I would be the only one camping during my stay. (I camped there during the early part of December) Strange to feel as if I had the place to myself. The beach is incredible and there are a number of nice trails throughout the park. There is plenty of wildlife to see and the solitude was absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend a visit to this park. The only thing that surprised me a little was just how bad the ticks were. So, make sure to use some form of tick repellent if you plan on hiking in the wooded areas.

A unique experience that we totally enjoyed. Make sure you are up for a walk and bring your bug spray!

Yes, of course.
They have all-terrain wheelchairs there at the sea camp dock.
Weather is very nice!! Can be unpredictable that time of year, but quite chilly at night and very nice in the sun. Ferry can get you to the island, but there's no airport shuttle.
Yes
It is pretty rough biking if you're not used to dirt paths. Mostly flat, but it is a dirt/sand packed road. If you're used to off-roading, it's reasonable. But you will want a bike with decent shocks and wider tires. Also be ready for humidity, if you're riding in summer.
Yes at the Ranger station, sea camp and Stafford beach campsites
I am assuming that you are trying to reserve a campsite in Sea camp or Stafford Beach? No you cannot get an open reservation for those two areas, Hass to be specific side. Other than those two sites, all of the other sites are classified as wilderness sites. The wilderness sites do not have any designated areas and are basically just large areas where people pick and choose their spot in the various locations.
They allow dogs on the island, but not on the ferry. Private boaters often travel with their pets. The problem is that some of those dogs may be sick without their owners even knowing. We lost almost all of the raccoons this year to an outbreak of distemper. We don't know if it spread from pets. Likewise, we don't know if it may have infected some of the dogs visiting the island. This is a wilderness area. Please protect your pets. This is not a walk in the park!
Yes, you can take them but it is an additional $10 fee. You must call to add it to your ferry reservation.
You have to take a ferry from St. Marys to access Cumberland Island. Hope this is helpful!
They certainly are!
Not available. You have to catch a ferry then hike to a campsite!
