This Place.... This place USED to be a decent little gas station w/convenience store. We would always top off here before heading north to Sandpoint. HOWEVER it has become a cesspool of Overpriced Gas and Merchandise, Disgusting unkempt porta potties with finger painted walls, and Condescending employees who have no interest in helping you. People, for the most part, are understanding and shortages have become a nationwide issue for a while. However no paper in ANY of your portapotties? Make up for the shortages with more reasonable gas and snack food prices then. At least match the price of what is only a few miles away? Or at LEAST offer up a decent restroom! I'm sure many women would agree for a roadtrip out of town that nothing beats a decent restroom. Ladies, when I tell you that those portapotties were disgusting, just imagine the smell.... fingerpaintings.....💩🤢 So.... I hope this review helps someone to maybe pass this opportunity up and want to wait a little longer where there are much cleaner, friendlier, reasonably priced stores up ahead.

Perfect place to park your trailer to go to Silverwood (7miles away). They have full hookup (except sewer but have an onsite dump). Lots are not massive but not too bad. The bathrooms are really clean and the showers have decent water pressure. You CAN hear the highway but it's really not that bad. The people who run it are super helpful and nice, and even gave us directions from Canada. AND there's a little drive through coffee kiosk thing with every coffee-type beverage under the sun where I had the best coffee beverage thing I've ever had. This place also does not restrict what kind of dog you can have as long as they are leashed (unlike Ravenwood who does not allow anything that looks like a pit, rotti, doberman etc)

My wife's trucks battery failed nearby the alpine gas station. She barely got into the parking space and it died. I rushed from home picked her up and got her to work barely in time. I bought a new battery went back to alpine and they had already had my truck towed. It was there less than 2.5 hours. I am a local raised in garwood. I have been going to the alpine store for years my childhood house was very near by the gas station. I have always had a good experience there until today. I was going as fast as I could. I was the only truck parked on that side of the building. Plenty of other parking spaces. A little patience would have been appreciated.

I was pretty happy with this place as we stayed here on our way down from Alberta for summer holidays and then again on our way back up. The campground is very very nice and well kept. Big rig accessible and very spacious treed sites. The pull through sites also give you the option if you are travelling with someone to pull into opposite directions so that you can face each other and have green space in between. Travel time to Silverwood is about 10 minutes max and going the other way to Costco and Couer D'Alene about the same. The campground does not have any "permanent" residents which makes it a great place to stay as if you stay other places, the permanents can be pretty creepy. I am planning on staying here this summer too as it is also nice to have a liquor store right in the gas station at the campground for those who need to quench their thirst before continuing. Very kid and pet friendly too. Didn't have anyone coming around and hassling you about this and that. Only downfall that might be for some people is the proximity to a train that comes through a few times a day and night. Not a care for my family and I, but for some people this may be a big thing.

Questions & Answers

Is there weekly or monthly rates

While you are welcome to stay as long as you would like (availability permitting) there are no discounted rates for extended stays. After tax, a night will cost you about $48.55 and would cause a month to cost you around $1,500. The Good Sam discount will of course lower this by 10% to around $43 dollars a night.
