Awful awful awful, I would literally die before going back to the Henry county hospital. I have a note in my wallet that says take me anywhere other than the Henry County hospital. I told my wife even if I’m in a life threatening accident to send me anywhere else. If you need a hospital, just drive somewhere else for your own good.

I had a stillbirth on April 16th of this year. To say I’m upset is an understatement. Today I called the lab at Henry community health to find out why I hadn’t received any answer on Jamesons placenta. We had told our dr after delivery that we did not want an autopsy done on him, but if we can get an answer from having the placenta tested, then we would gladly have that done. When I called today I was told that the test was canceled on April 18th per the dr. I’ve been waiting for months for an answer and I feel as though they just ripped that away from us. I called the obgyn and left a voicemail for a nurse to call me back to see if I could find out why it was canceled because I never once called and asked them to not do the test. I waited a few hrs before calling back and asking to speak to the dr directly. I was told I could talk to his nurse and I was placed on hold. Once she was on the phone I explained to her what I was just informed by the lab, and asked if she had answer for me as to why it was canceled. She said it looked like a miscommunication was made between the lab and drs and read to me what was noted. In what she had read to me was that it was requested it be canceled because I did not want further testing done. I told her that I never stated that. I told her that we asked that all testing be done on the placenta so we could have the answers we were looking for. She also said that it showed in my records that we had requested that the testing be done on the placenta. So there’s no reason it should have been canceled at all. To whoever’s miscommunication this was between the drs and lab, they completely took that away from us. We were waiting on that closure and we won’t have an answer as to what happened now. I waited so long to call because I was nervous, I didn’t know if I was ready for an answer, but now we will never have one, thanks to this “miscommunication”. I hope the same thing or anything similar doesn’t happen to someone else.

Once again, Chalk it up to this hospital. Been sitting here for over a hour, waiting on a mammogram that was scheduled in February. They conveniently forgot about me. So finally I got it and left 2 hours later.
