We stayed a week to bury my brother at the Carthage cemetery. A very comfortable trailer, fire pit with downed wood nearby, gas grill on the back patio, full kitchen. Plenty of comfortable room to entertain guests. Minutes away from Carthage & Joplin. Comfortable bed, ceiling fans, electric fireplace/stove. Very hospitable owners. Better $'s than local hotels.

They have a flat rate on their propane of $3.00 prr/gal as of January 16th, 2022 while places like Flying J & Love's are charging $3.99 per/gal for propane..... Update as of March 1, 2022....still the cheapest propane!

They have tons of electrical issues going on in the park and you can't count on leaving in the morning and come back in the evening without knowing how long the power has been out. We are here working and had to take our dogs with us 12 hours a day to leave them in a running truck to ensure they would stay cool. Also there is no store here only an office to check in

I just left this beautiful park Sat. after staying there for a month. First I want say the people running the park, Jessica and Ike are Absolutely Amazing people! Not only are they super friendly they went over and beyond to help me and protect me in every way they could. I just cant say enough good things about them. They also kept the park clean, mowed, and fun with movie nights and a special movie night with gifts, snacks and drinks on Mothers Day. The facilities were always clean. It was such a peaceful place while I was going through a rough time. They also have a stocked catfish pond! I chose Ballards because it was not overly crowded like a lot of parks. If you want a quiet peaceful place to go, Ballards is it. I would give them 10 stars if I could. Thank you Jessica and Ike for everything!

On center creek off of the highway
When I was there (about a month ago), there was at least one tent setup.
Grove, Oklahoma, plenty of lake front rentals.
Someone is usually in the office at 9 am to 5pm some times 6pm, Monday thru Saturday. Occasionally someone will be in the office on Sunday

It is a wonderful place that is quite. When I was there, I met a couple people from texas that seemed to frequent the campsite and liked.
You would have to call and ask. Or walk in to find out. They only pay daily rates at the camp site
