I wouldn’t even give them a single star! I have always adopted rescue dogs and never been disappointed! The staff here is rude and taints you then tears your heart out! They put the perfect little dog up for adoption and then played roulette deciding who was going to get her. I even had several friends give references about what a great pet parent I am. Finally found out they picked someone but had no intention of letting the rest of the applicants know! RUDE AND VILE!

At first glance you would think this is a very nice clean shelter but underneath it all is employees that mistreat the animals and a director that turns a blind eye and the employees that actually do care enough to try and do something and take care of the animals and love the animals the director mistreats and adventually runs them off. I have seen cats starved to death cats with maggots crawling all over them employees slamming dogs on the ground snaching their leash so hard it yanks their front feet off the ground screaming cursing the animals because they would not be quite or do what the employee wanted them to do I worked here for a year and dealt with this reporting it to my director constantly and her never doing nothing about it so I finally quit .

Typically under $100. Occasionally pets will have part or all of their adoption fee paid by a sponsor. Adoption fees are reduced during certain special events.
If it's a stray, nothing. If it's yours and a surrender you need to call them. They are very nice folks and will answer your questions .
Standard cost for dogs over 4 months are a $100. $90 for kittens and puppies

I mean to bring them in so u can find homes for them
Joplin Humane Society periodically has free neuter and spay clinic. Tomorrow there is one for cats only. I'm not certain if they take walk-ins. Carthage Humane Society doesn't offer neuter or spay at this time.
