I am a livestreamer on twitch and currently that is my only income. i have the 300 plan which is supposed to give 300 dl / 20 upload speed which is more than adequate to stream. daily i am getting upload speeds of 3-7 (they throttled most peoples uploads speeds to 5 but i was supposed to be "grandfathered in to my 20) which is causing severe drops in frames in turn losing my viewers.. i have had them come out 3x theyve replaced the modem 3x and every wire in the house even charging me $80 bucks even though they had already chargeed me $100 for the initial installation but didnt replace anything then.. when i call they try to upsell me even though i just need the speeds i am paying for to be accurate.. this is the worst company i have had the displeasure of working with they 100% know they are a monopoly.. where else are we to go? they absolutely reflect that in their treatment of our customer... it almost seems like organized crime owns optimum and they break legs of anyone coming to compete because there is noone

Here's an idea: Take some of that money you get from fees and buy a couple cans of paint. The rusty parking lot bollards in front of your building are absolutely hideous. The amount of peeling paint on your "Optimum" sign is unbelievable. Make you're building actually look presentable. If I was in the market for new internet service, and I saw this, I am not even going in your building. It's early August, so you can't use the weather as an excuse. Put some pride in your appearance. As a current customer, I'm glad your internet works but yes, I am giving you one star on the basis of your store image alone. It's that bad. Really, you should be ashamed of it. Buy paint, you charge people enough.

I have been on autopay for the entire time I have had service with optimum. Every month on the same date my bill has been correctly taken out. Except when my " promotion " ran out. It was then autopay decided to skip a month and they double charge me with a increased bill 2 weeks earlier than the autopay usually withdrawals Times are hard right now and I have been tightly budgeting. This forced me to cancel some plans that I have made with my son. Calling to correct this matter was the run a round, with no resolve other than they wanted $180. I Canceled but lost the dispute with my bank, and now I am returning the optimum equipment.

To deliver a moder ho router I have to make an appointment

I went on January 12 at 3:30, and they were open, and a person was working.
I believe till 6
If you're service has been shut off, they change for turning it back on.
If you mean drop another carrier for altice mobile, yes. In fact I would recommend that you do go to the store rather than buy online. If you have a problem, you have them you help. If you buy online it's a texting nightmare trying to get service. You need to bring your old phone bill for the account number, and your pin number. If you can't remember the pin that you set up when you bought your old phone. Call your carrier's 800 number and have them look it up. Good luck.
Best bet is to call them
I moved from NY to CT. I wasn't able to bring the box to their office when i moved from NY but at the CT optimum office, they said i didn't have to return the box in NY & that i can return it in CT. After you cancel the services they give you 1 month to return the equipment. If you return it after the month they will charge BUT when you return the equipment late, they give you a refund of the late charges.
You should be able to do online but make sure bill is paid off before you suspend it other wise get late fees.
Have to go through he automatic thing to get to a human being
Likely a signal issue. Levels too low. Also could be a bad wire from the pole, or bad connection. If it is a rare occurrence, it could be a fluke, if it happens more regularly, it's likely one of the issues I mentioned. If it tends to happen in rain or wind, it is highly likely a wire or connection issue. Call optimum. Have them send a tech
They have to come to the home for internet
As far as I know you can't call the Litchfield office directly.
when you pay the past due balance your service is reinstated automatically no matter what day it is.
There is a small USB style chip that is next to the plug/back of cable box . I pulled mine out then put it back in and it works. I am only a customer not optimum rep..
